Crispy leaves once littered floors,
Trees like rainbows, red and more,
Chilling breezes blowing through,
That’s the Fall that we once knew.
Now our Fall has blown away,
It knows that it can’t always stay.
Off the stage filled with light,
In comes Winter, cold and white.
Along with Winter, comes that day,
The day when things don’t seem so gray.
Little kids in their pajamas,
Wake up early to spoil the drama.
CHRISTMAS!
That word of cheer spilling out,
Bringing smiles with no doubt.
People rushing to and fro,
Buying gifts for those they know.
Christmas morning, homes awake,
Held-breath silence all just breaks.
Wrapping paper clutter floors,
‘Cause they can’t wait for what’s in store.
“No more school, no more school!
Today’s the day when Winter rules!”
Even parents can’t deny it,
It’s the one time they’ll accept a riot.
And yet amidst all this bliss,
There’s something that our minds have missed.
We’ve all forgotten about the poor,
Whose hearts are really just as pure.
So the very next time you see,
A bell ringer shouting out their plea,
Don’t hesitate to give a hand,
Let them know that you understand.
Before I stop and say the end,
I can’t forget about our friend,
Our friend who died upon the cross,
Jesus Christ, our hope, our might.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!
AND A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, MY FRIENDS!!!
(and a Happy New Year)
